On Sept 19, three former Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) executives charged with negligence regarding the 2011 accident at the company’s Fukushima Daiichi plant were acquitted by a Japanese court because opinion was divided over the scientific evaluations of predicted tsunamis.
