Seminar "Artificial intelligence and data protection in health research and innovation: ethical, legal and social aspects", organized by the OBD and the AEPD (in a hybrid format and free)

On September 21, 2022, the Bioethics and Law Observatory (OBD) - UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) jointly organize the seminar "Inteligencia artificial y protección de datos en investigación e innovación en salud: aspectos éticos, legales y sociales" ("Artificial intelligence and data protection in health research and innovation: ethical, legal and social aspects").

This seminar is part of the knowledge transfer actions of the agreement signed between the two entities, with the aim of analyzing the ethical, legal and social implications regarding data protection in the use of artificial intelligence and big data in the field of health research and innovation.

In this framework, the XXV edition of the Master in Bioethics and Law (MBD) of the University of Barcelona will be inaugurated, with a conference by Mar España, director of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

The MBD is a master's degree of the University of Barcelona, which is taught in Spanish and remotely. It's part of the UNESCO Training Program in Bioethics (120 ECTS credits, two academic years); it provides comprehensive training, from an interdisciplinary approach, in bioethics and human rights in the fields of biomedicine, biotechnology and related technologies.

The pre-registration period for the 25th edition (2022-2024), which will start in October, is currently open. You can find all the information related to the pre-registration period at this link.
