The Bioethics and Law Observatory (OBD) – UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at the University of Barcelona will hold the XII Seminar on the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights: "Bioethics education, training and information", at University of Barcelona's Faculty of Law.
This International Day is part of a series of seminaries hold each year at the University of Barcelona that aim at analysing the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights (UNESCO, 2005). This year the Article 23 - Bioethics education, training and information will be considered. In order to promote the principles of the Declaration, article 23 highlights the importance of bioethics education and training at all levels as well as the knowledge dissemination.
Presentations and discussions will be focused on the ethics and integrity in university teaching. Moreover, the communication and utilization of scientific results will be discussed. In this context, the Declaration on Ethics and Integrity in University Teaching written by the Opinion Group of the Bioethics and Law Observatory will be presented.
