Call for papers on Food, Ethics and Law, issue 42 Bioethics and Law Journal

12.04.2017

The Bioethics and Law Journal of the University of Barcelona, in collaboration with the Master in Food, Ethics and Law, announces this call for papers on Food, Ethics and Law. All papers accepted will be published in issue nº 41, November 2017.

The interest of citizens in the legal, ethical and political issues that arise from the current food systems and from food innovations has grown significantly due to both the recent scandals of fraud or security issues in the food chain, as well as to the possibility of access ― through the Internet ― to the most varied sources of information about food, its safety and the conditions in which they occur.

Therefore, we make this call to collaborations related to the following topics:

  • Bioethics, the law and food safety/quality
  • Legal, political or ethical aspects in food security
  • Food sovereignty and bioethics
  • Food law and consumer perception
  • Communication of food risks
  • Ethical or legal aspects of the sustainability of the food chain
  • Public health, food and bioethics

The Journal will accept only original papers written in Spanish, Catalan, French, English, Portuguese or Italian, with a maximum length of 6,000 words, including references, bibliography, tables and graphs. The file must be sent in MS Word format, letter Cambria or Arial 12, double space. Originals must be sent through this link. Articles sent in PDF or through electronic mail will not be considered.

  • Closing date for submissions: November 5, 2017
